Inside, the lower level is ready for finishing. Hopefully, the dry walling will begin here soon so that the electrical, the plumbing, the carpentry, and the flooring can be completed as well. On the ground floor, the intumescent painting of the vertical support columns is complete. The dry wall in the hall and the gathering space is almost complete. Hopefully in the next couple of days all of the ground floor will have dry wall and the walls and ceilings will be finished by the end of next week. In the meantime, lights will soon be installed and the finishing of the kitchen and washroom cabinetry will be installed. Then afterward will be the installation of the HVAC systems and elevator, which is just waiting for the hydro to be energized by the utility company.
From the street, the building is very much starting to take shape. The historic church is being cleaned and tidied up inside and outside to make it ready for use as soon as possible. The door linking the two buildings together should be completed next week. We continue to pray for excellent weather and a real team effort to gain occupancy ASAP. Thank you to all of the contractors who have worked very hard in challenging conditions to make our community dream a reality.
