The spray insulation is complete. The rest of the insulation will be completed in the coming week. The interior finishing will begin in about a week. The finishing materials have been selected and we are making some adjustments to the paint colours. The exterior cladding should begin to be applied to the outside of the building within two weeks. The kitchen equipment is on order. The roof top and ground level HVAC unit locations and pads are complete and the units should be delivered soon.
The building is now fully enclosed and so the wall that connects the new building and the historic church is opened and you can pass through from one building to the next. It is exciting and overwhelming to see this finally happening and to see the hand made materials that were created and assembled by the pioneers of Palermo in 1845. The grading and some of the landscaping work has begun and the last of the doors and windows should be going in this week.
We are now working on audio/visual and communications infrastructure to support the users of the building. Remediation of the internal space in the church has begun with repair to the plaster to prepare all of the walls for painting.
